In our increasingly remote-work focused world, businesses are looking to designate which set of IP addresses can connect to their cloud. With IP allow lists, you now have added flexibility when managing database connections from the Internet and can allow your teammates to connect from home without exposing your database to the entire Internet.
IP allow lists allow you to limit network access by specifying which blocks of IP addresses can log into your cloud. When Public Networking is selected, by default all traffic from the public Internet is allowed—but with IP allow lists you have an extra level of control and more peace of mind.
