11.1 Un-Installing Advanced Server at the Command Line

The following table lists the names of the binary uninstallers and the Advanced Server components that they remove. By default, the uninstallers listed in the table below are located in:

      On Linux:

        /opt/PostgresPlus/9.0AS

      On Windows:

        C:\Program Files\PostgresPlus\9.0AS

To uninstall Advanced Server and all of the supporting modules, navigate to the Advanced Server installation directory and enter:

      On Linux, assume superuser privileges and enter:

        ./uninstall-ppas_complete

      On Windows assume Administrator privileges and enter:

        uninstall-ppas_complete.exe

A dialog opens, asking you to confirm your decision to uninstall Postgres Plus Advanced Server (see Figure 11.1)

Click Yes to confirm that you wish to uninstall Advanced Server. As the de-installation progresses, a popup dialog displays a progress indicator for each uninstalled module (see Figure 11.2).

When the de-installation is complete, an Info dialog opens to confirm that Advanced Server (and/or its components) has been removed (see Figure 11.3).
