Churchill Club to Host Executive Roundtable on the Transformative Effects of Open Source

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 15, 2006—The Churchill Club, Silicon Valley’s premier business and technology forum, today announced that it will host an executive roundtable, “The Open Source Effect”, on Wednesday, June 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, Calif. Some of the open source industry's most visionary senior executives will share their views on the transformative effects of open source software on the management of corporate IT, the enterprise software business and Silicon Valley economics.

Roundtable participants will include: 

  • Andy Astor, chief executive officer of EnterpriseDB
  • Stuart Cohen, chief executive officer of Open Source Development Labs
  • Marc Fleury, senior vice president and general manager, JBoss division, of Red Hat
  • Rich Green, executive vice president, software, of Sun Microsystems
  • Kim Polese, chief executive officer of SpikeSource

BusinessWeek’s Sarah Lacy will moderate the roundtable.
