The PostgreSQL Associate Certification requires that a database professional demonstrate the fundamental skills necessary to maintain a PostgreSQL server and application in a production environment. Certification requires competence in installation, configuration, routine database maintenance, monitoring, backup and recovery, and performance tuning, as well as the use of SQL and PL/pgSQL to create database queries.

Pre-requisites: People considering taking the Associate Certification exam are strongly encouraged to complete the associated EnterpriseDB training course: Introduction to PostgreSQL Administration.  This class presents the minimum knowledge of concepts and skills required to achieve this certification.

Exam: The exam is offered online and may be taken at any time.  One exam attempt is also offered after taking the Introduction to PostgreSQL Administration training class.
