Postgres Professional Certification

The Postgres Professional Certification is the definitive standard for PostgreSQL professionals. This certification requires a database professional to exhibit the ability to work in demanding, large-scale, real-world production environments.

Certification requires an advanced knowledge of: PostgreSQL's internal mechanisms, replication, advanced database security, disaster recovery, table partitioning, high availability, spatial data, and full-text data. In addition, applicants are expected to be proficient in query tuning, performance monitoring, distributed parallel query (GridSQL^®), distributed memory caching, integrated connection management, and index management.

The associated EnterpriseDB training courses Advanced Postgres Administration and Postgres Performance and Scalability present the minimum knowledge of concepts and skills required to achieve this certification, however, completion of the courses is not a certification requirement.

This certification requires the candidate to pass two exams.
