1 Introduction : 1.1 What’s New

The event history data in the control schema is now deleted on a scheduled, daily basis at 12 AM, thus reducing the number of rows in tables xdb_events and xdb_events_status. Previously, these tables were continuously growing in size. Publication server configuration option historyCleanupDaysThreshold has been added to designate how old the completed event data must reach before its removal. The default setting is that completed event data must be older than seven days before it is deleted during the daily 12 AM cleanup process. For more information, see Section 7.5.4.
The Data Validator now supports: 1) the -srs option when set to true, results in skipping the logging of differences for rows that exist only in the source database table, 2) the -srt option when set to true, results in skipping the logging of differences for rows that exist only in the target database table, and 3) the -srb option when set to true, results in skipping the logging of differences for rows that exist in both the source and target database tables with the same primary key, but different non-primary key values. For more information, see Section 9.2.
The Data Validator now supports the -fs option, which enables the specification of a smaller number of rows than the default value of 5000 rows. The default value may result in an out of heap space error when validating tables that are large in size. For more information, see Section 9.2.
