EDB Migration Suite

EDB’s Migration Toolkit migrates tables, data, stored procedures (Oracle only) and custom developed packages (Oracle only) from SQL Server, Sybase and Oracle to EDB Advanced Server.

A series of specialized database connectors for JDBC, ODBC, .NET, OCL (supports the key functions of the Oracle Client Interface) and ECPGPlus (supports the key functions of Oracle’s ProC interface) simplify the migration of applications from Oracle databases to EDB Advanced Server.

EDB Migration Tool Kit

EDB Postgres Enterprise Manager’s (PEM) monitoring and alerting capabilities are key for successful Postgres-based digital business solutions that meet stringent SLAs and performance requirements. PEM collects performance and status data from the databases it monitors, from the operating system, and it collects data resulting from jobs it executes on the database host. Data is displayed in dashboards and analyzed for alert conditions. Alerts can be relayed to operators or to other enterprise-level management systems. PEM also allows DBAs and developers to work with the databases directly, execute DDL and DML commands, tune queries, manage indexes, run backups, and deploy software updates.

Oracle Compatible

EnterpriseDB extends PostgreSQL to implement the same functionality as Oracle DB primarily with data type support, selected PL/SQL compatibility, Oracle SQL syntax and built-in SQL functions. DBAs have similar catalog views, wait events and compatible tools such as EDB*Plus and EDB*Loader. Developers have access to popular packages for fast development, advanced object type functionality, object oriented programming support and programming features such as bulk collections and SQL hints.
