EDB supports two models for integration with Pivotal’s Cloud Foundry PaaS solution. PostgreSQL instances can provision multiple databases within what is called a “Postgres cluster”. EDB provides Docker Containers and Kubernetes orchestration scripts for a set of containers for EDB Postgres Advanced Server (EPAS) for data management, pgPool for query routing and connection pooling, the EDB Failover Manager (EFM) for high availability, the EDB Backup and Recovery Tool (Bart) for backup/recovery and the Postgres Enterprise Manager (PEM) for management, monitoring and alerting.
