Veteran Technology Attorney Joins PostgreSQL-Based Database Company

EDISON, N.J., July 6, 2005 – EnterpriseDB Corporation, an enterprise-class database company, announced today that technology industry veteran Jack L. Lewis has been elected to the EnterpriseDB Board of Directors. Lewis joins founder and CEO Andy Astor, Gary Long, founder and Chief Architect Denis Lussier, and Philip Merrick on the company’s Board. Jack Lewis is a partner in Morrison & Foerster LLP’s Northern Virginia office. Lewis has more than 35 years of experience assisting a broad range of businesses and entrepreneurs in developing effective business strategies, from start-up through IPO and beyond. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of webMethods, Inc.

“In his law practice, Lewis concentrates on representing technology businesses. He counsels clients in the areas of the Internet, e-commerce, enterprise and other software, and information technology. Lewis’ experience includes technology protection, licensing, distribution and sale, capital raising, international expansion, buyouts, mergers and acquisitions and public offerings. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster LLP, Lewis was a stockholder in Tucker, Flyer & Lewis, a firm he co-founded in 1975, and a partner at Shaw Pittman, which he joined in 1999. He also taught business planning for more than ten years at The George Washington University National Law Center and has chaired and has been a speaker for various American Law Institute-American Bar Association seminars and other programs relating to business planning and the growth of technology companies.
