John Murphy is EDB’s Senior Vice President, Products. He is responsible for product direction and portfolio strategy at the company. Prior to joining EDB John held a number of leadership roles in software organizations focused on data and analytics. Most recently he built a new business at Hitachi Vantara focused on delivering ML-based IoT solutions. 

John’s previous experience ranged from founding a startup in the b2b space to leading products for IBM’s global data and analytics business. John experience leading technical teams has included product management, engineering, strategy, sales, and services. John started his career in technology writing code and contributed to highly successful products in vertical domains including banking and in-flight entertainment, as well in platform products for document management, workflow, and analytics.
