IBM has inked a deal with database developer EnterpriseDB to bring an optimised open database platform to its Power server line.
The deal will allow the firms to offer the PostgreSQL database on Power servers. Based on the Linux platform, PostgreSQL is an open-source postscript database platform designed for large enterprise deployments.
