Before joining EnterpriseDB, Ed spent six years at Red Hat®, Inc., the world's leading open source solutions provider, most recently serving as vice president and general manager of North America. Before that, he was vice president ofRed Hat's global OEM business, responsible for all partnerships, including HP®, IBM®, and Dell®. During his time at Red Hat, Ed was instrumental in developing the foundational methods for selling open source software into the enterprise. |
Jay Barrows, Vice President, Sales

Prior to joining EnterpriseDB, Jay was regional sales director at Red Hat where he was responsible for the northeastern U.S. and Canada territories. At Red Hat, Jay directly managed inside and enterprise sales teams, as well as regionally focused architects and channel overlay teams. Previously, he was responsible for managing Red Hat's go-to-market and sales activities for the life sciences and healthcare vertical. Earlier in his career, Jay was regional sales director at Altaworks (acquired by Opnet Technologies). He also held sales and sales management positions at Internet Business Advantages (acquired by ServiceSoft, now Kana). He graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S. in Business Administration. |
Karen Tegan Padir, Executive Vice President, Products & Engineering

Karen is responsible for all things product at EnterpriseDB. This includes product design, product management and engineering as well as its global services, support and training. She is a veteran software executive with 20 years of industry experience leading global business and engineering organizations. Prior to joining EnterpriseDB, Karen was the vice president of MySQL and Software Infrastructure at Sun Microsystems where she was responsible for key Sun open source software GlassFish, Identity Management and SOA products. Prior to that Karen was vice president of engineering for infrastructure technology at Red Hat where she was responsible for Red Hat's Directory and Certificate server products, as well as Quality and Release Engineering of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux bundle. She is one of the founding members of the Java EE Platform at Sun. |
Radhika Samant, Chief Financial Officer

Radhika Samant is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant (India). Radhika started her career with S.B.Billimoria & Co. (at the time the Indian affiliate of Ernst & Young International and currently Deloitte and Touche) in the field of Public Accounting. After three years in public accounting she joined Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd., Pune, India, where she headed the Foreign Trade Department and was a key contributor in spearheading the foreign exchange risk management policy of the Company. Since moving to the United States she has worked with Everest Consulting Group as Manager, Finance where she helped set up and manage the Company's international operations. Prior to joining EnterpriseDB she was with Easylink Services Inc. as the Director of Financial Reporting and General Accounting. |
Sean Doherty, Vice President, Business Development

Sean is responsible for EnterpriseDB's international partner sales and worldwide business development. Prior to joining EnterpriseDB, Sean spent the last five years at Red Hat. During his tenure at Red Hat, Sean held various international management roles both in Sales and Business Affairs, and most recently he ran east coast U.S. and Canada commercial sales. Prior to joining Red Hat, Sean held global management positions at 3Com, and was Corporate Counsel and Director of Compliance for ICon Professional Services, a private consulting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. |
Tom Kincaid, Vice President, Global Services

Tom is responsible for EnterpriseDB’s world class, professional services, support and training. Tom has nearly 25 years of experience in the Enterprise Software Industry. Prior to EnterpriseDB, he was VP of software development for Oracle's GlassFish and Web Tier products. He integrated Sun's Application Server Product line into Oracle's Fusion middleware offerings. At Sun Microsystems, he was part of the original Java EE architecture and management teams and played a critical role in defining and delivering the Java Platform. Tom is a veteran of the Object Database industry and helped build Object Design's customer service department holding management and senior technical contributor roles. Other positions in Tom's past include Director of Quality Engineering at Red Hat and Director of Software Engineering at Unica. |
