Panel of Leading Investors and CIOs Selects
Enterprise-Class Database Vendor as Most Promising

EDISON, N.J., November 9, 2005 – EnterpriseDB Corporation, an enterprise database company, announced today that it was selected as one of the three "Ones to Watch" at last week’s Open Source Business Conference in Boston. Prior to the conference, EnterpriseDB and 17 other open source companies were selected from approximately 100 startups to comprise the conference’s "Emerging Elite Showcase", and the "Ones to Watch" were selected from the Showcase. The winners were named by a panel of venture capitalists and enterprise CIOs charged with selecting the most promising companies at the conference. EnterpriseDB’s enterprise-class database product is based on PostgreSQL, the world’s most advanced open source database, runs many applications written for Oracle unmodified and is priced to reflect its open source heritage. More information about EnterpriseDB and product downloads are available from the company’s website at www.enterprisedb.com.

"This award and the other critical acclaim we’ve received for our efforts is gratifying and encouraging," said Andy Astor, CEO of EnterpriseDB. "The message we’re getting from the marketplace is that EnterpriseDB’s combination of reliability, compatibility, scalability and affordability is a winning recipe."

"Enterprise acceptance of open source software is radically changing the IT industry," said Bryce Roberts, OSBC conference co-founder. "The ‘Ones to Watch’ are the companies we judged to be at key inflection points in their abilities to disrupt and to transform established markets and to provide enterprise IT leadership."

EnterpriseDB was also selected by the OSBC conference organizers to be one of three startup companies to participate in "Pitching the CIO", one of the conference’s unique and most popular sessions.

EnterpriseDB Corporation will be next exhibiting at the Gartner Open Source Summit in Orlando, Fla., December 7-9, 2005.
