Connection pooling is very important for PostgreSQL as each connection to the database adds overhead. If you have a large number of connections to the database, using a connection pooler is recommended between your application and PostgreSQL cluster to improve performance and reduce system resource usage. In this office hour webinar, you are going to learn about connection pooling in PostgreSQL, why it is important, and what are the different tools available to achieve connection pooling. The session will include feature comparison of two connection pooling software pgBouncer and pgPool, and followed by the demo of both the tools. We will leave some time at the end of the session for Q&A.
