Andreas Scherbaum has worked with PostgreSQL since 1997. He is involved in several PostgreSQL-related community projects, is a member of the Board of Directors of the European PostgreSQL User Group, and wrote a PostgreSQL book (in German). Starting in 2011, he worked for EMC/Greenplum/Pivotal and tackled Very Large Databases. Until 2024 he did pretty much the same—but with more and bigger databases—for Adjust GmbH in Berlin. Now, at EDB, he works as a WarehousePG principal engineer and helps customers with even larger databases.
