EDB Partners with Commvault to Expand Backup and Restore Capabilities for EDB Postgres Advanced Server and EDB Postgres Extended Server

July 12, 2022

EDB is excited to announce our partnership with Commvault. With the help of Commvault Backup and Recovery, EDB Postgres Advanced Server and EDB Postgres Extended server users will be able further secure their data environment and ensure high availability. Commvault’s robust interface provides:

  • block-level backup capability;
  • the ability to quickly check on the progress of your backup or restore tasks;
  • pre-built reports in an on-demand or scheduled fashion.

Thanks to our partnership with Commvault, you can now backup an instance of either EDB Postgres Advanced Server or EDB Postgres Extended Server in different modes and restore them when needed.

All types of data protection, easily available from a single interface.

Performing backup and restore on a database is usually no small feat. Commvault Backup & Recovery can help in performing either task. There are numerous types of backup and restore operations that cover the entire PostgreSQL/EDB Postgres Advanced Server/EDB Postgres Extended Server instance, individual databases, backup logs, restoration of database tables, and restoring databases to a specific point-in-time.

You can now take advantage of these features by using Commvault Backup & Recovery with EDB Postgres Advanced Server and EDB Postgres Extended Server.
