Sessions By Partners, Users & Experts

Postgres Vision 2020 Virtual Event Highlights

The many extraordinary sessions have been the heart of Postgres Vision 2020. Tracks explored the proliferation of PostgreSQL in the enterprise, and a focus on how developers are building scalable and secure applications with the PostgreSQL database.

Keynote speakers included Bryson Koehler, chief technology officer of Equifax; Ed Boyajian, CEO of EDB; Dr. Michael Stonebraker, Postgres pioneer and MIT professor; and Bruce Momjian, co-founder of the PostgreSQL Global Development Group and database architect.

The virtual sessions offered live chat channels so attendees could network with their peers, speakers and sponsors. The event also included Q&A sessions with technology and business experts and a digital exhibition floor where people could connect live with sponsors at their booths. Activities such as surveys and polls allowed participants to earn badges to increase their chances of winning prizes.

Leading the PostgreSQL Movement

PostgreSQL not only makes sense from a business perspective, but it’s something that developers can wholeheartedly invest in, as well. Because it is truly open and owned by the community that creates it, people can rely on it to be there and be open source. That openness, reliability, and community support is the foundation—and with top-tier support, performance, integration, monitoring, and management, PostgreSQL has everything an enterprise needs to be successful.

Teams everywhere are deploying it on premise, in containers and in the cloud. everyone from database administrators and developers to architects and DevOps managers can use some help to plug in and go faster.

“Postgres is bigger than any one company. It’s a movement. Our new tagline, ‘Power to Postgres,’ captures both the spirit of that movement and our commitment to it,” says EDB president and CEO Ed Boyajian. “We’re database fanatics, and for our customers, a trusted partner with the energy and expertise to supercharge Postgres and help them overcome their challenges.”

Thanks to all of our speakers, sponsors, attendees, and Postgres community members! This is the revolution, and Postgres is winning. Follow @EDBPostgres for updates—we'd love to have you join the movement and help us keep building!
