AWS re:Invent 2023: EDB Highlights

December 06, 2023

The EDB team has just returned from an inspiring week at the AWS re:Invent 2023 conference!

We had such a great time connecting with EDB and Postgres users and the global cloud -computing community. From keynotes to Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions, workshops, networking events, demos and technical sessions, it an was exciting and educational week.

Some highlights:

  • Our SVP of Technology & Strategy, Benjamin Anderson gave a keynote on Postgres for the Modern Enterprise.
  • EDB VP and Postgres Evangelist, Bruce Momjian hosted an Ask Me Anything: AI Edition.
  • Corey Quinn, Chief Cloud Economist at The Duckbill Group stopped by the EDB booth to share his reaction to the CEO keynote and interpret the latest AWS announcements.

We also loved getting to connect with and learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry, and dive deep into sessions on topics we’re passionate about, like the cloud and machine learning. If you’ve been, then you already know: the enthusiasm and innovation at AWS re:Invent is contagious! Although the conference has come to an end, we returned to EDB headquarters with a backpack full of new ideas and inspiration (and a bunch of cool swag too).

If you attended AWS re:Invent, we hope you had a chance to swing by our booth and explore the magic of EDB Postgres on AWS. As you may have heard, EDB BigAnimal and EDB Postgres Advanced Server are now available in AWS Marketplace, offering Oracle compatibility, distributed high availability, and operational agility.
