EDB is proud to announce a new partnership with Pratham, one of India’s largest educational nonprofits. The company is supporting the organization’s Science Learning Program in Jhalda, West Bengal. As the leading Postgres data and AI company, EDB is committed to creating a better future for Postgres and the planet. We’re proud to support the next generation of engineers and developers who will build the future of open source Postgres someday.
EDB’s collaboration with Pratham will help sustain and expand the nonprofit’s hands-on, community-driven science education initiative, which reaches more than 7,000 children across 31 villages. Our contribution will fund vital resources including mobile science labs, science fairs, village libraries and the training of local youth volunteers known as Vigyan Mitras (Science Friends).
This partnership reflects EDB’s broader commitment to the advancement of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education for underserved youth and is part of the company’s EDBeKind initiative, which offers employees paid time off to volunteer and give back to their communities. Through this collaboration, EDB employees will be able to give their time, both onsite and virtually, participating in everything from storytelling and workshop support to content creation and skills-based consulting.
