Date -2012-09-17 BEDFORD, Mass. – September 17, 2012 – EnterpriseDB, the leading worldwide provider of PostgreSQL and Oracle database compatibility products and services, today announced Tom Kincaid, who has led global services as a vice president for more than two years, will be returning to his engineering roots by taking over as EnterpriseDB’s vice president of engineering, reporting to CEO Ed Boyajian.
Kincaid previously spent four years as executive director, application platforms at Sun Microsystems before Oracle’s acquisition of Sun. He then was named vice president of software development at Oracle and left there to join EnterpriseDB in July 2010. As head of products and engineering at EnterpriseDB, Kincaid will lead the product design, management and development operations. He will be replacing Karen Tegan Padir, who departs to pursue new interests. Kincaid assumes his new role immediately.
