As more and more companies embrace open source and Postgres for their data center, EDB is expanding to support them.”
“The DACH region is an important one for EDB as adoption of Postgres expands and with his experience, Sascha is the kind of market expert we need to work with enterprises,” said Sandor Klein, Vide President of International Sales at EnterpriseDB. “He will help us raise our brand recognition but also identify the right partners that will benefit end users and support the open source model."
Scholing brings 22 years of experience in the IT industry to his new position at EDB. Before joining the company, he held an assortment of management roles for renowned industry giants like Siemens Nixdorf, Siebel, Oracle, Infor, Salesforce, Compuware and Tibco. In his last position at Tibco, he was responsible for the Spotfire range for the DACH region and Eastern Europe. During his tenure at Tibco, he was able to gain valuable experience for his new role at EDB since the Spotfire analytic tool is based on both standard SQL databases as well as standalone NoSQL-only solutions.

The company plans to further expand this partner base in the DACH region and deepen its existing strategic partnerships with companies like HP and Infor.
