IBM recently announced the availability of its Cloud Private for Data offering. First announced earlier this year in March at Think, IBM Cloud Private for Data is a data science and machine learning platform. In the new release, the company promises to deliver a private cloud platform that extends beyond data warehousing to enable and fortify advanced data science as well as data engineering. The offering will be available as a software on an IBM turnkey product and also via clusters operating natively on Red Hat OpenShift container application platform. The latter is pivotal to connecting to the IBM WebSphere installed base and don't need to buy an individual cluster to benefit from the new capabilities.
