As the world’s first open-source Postgres operator designed for Kubernetes, CloudNativePG (CNPG) has experienced explosive growth within the Kubernetes community and customers since its launch in 2022. Now, in less than 2 years since its release, we’re celebrating a major industry milestone: CloudNativePG has officially earned 3,000 Github stars.

This community recognition underscores our rapid growth – nearly 4x increase in adoption since last year – and comes on the heels of being named a top operator of Postgres in Kubernetes according to Timescale’s 2023 State of PostgreSQL report.
